Kriya Yoga:
Cobra Breath is the capstone of the science of Kriya Yoga. "Kriya" means "action" and refers to the conscious manipulation of energy through the body. The other yogic tools from this sacred science, which we use in support of the Cobra Breath, include the following:
- ASANAS: Postures to purify the physical vehicle
- PRANAYAMA: Breathing techniques to expand consciousness
- DHYANA: Meditation to attune yourself to the Divine Current
- MANTRAS: Transcendent sounds which resonate in the body
- YANTRAS: Visual manifestations of mantras
- MUDRAS: Gestures to activate body currents
- BANDHAS: Energy locks to conserve and move pranic energy
- MAITHUNA:Sexual Union

Emotional Release
The ancient yogic methods were traditionally practiced in an ashram under the close supervision of a guru. Our challenge today is to maintain the practice while continuing our life. The increased energies resulting from this practice activate repressed emotions, which must be expressed and released. In the West, methods have been developed over the last few decades to clear emotional residue. Ipsalu has refined this process to the state of the art. We offer a variety of intensities from all-out catharsis to more subtle contemplative practices. As you examine your intentions that aren't being realized, you discover, invariably, some limiting belief standing in the way, something about your inability, unworthiness, or unwillingness. That belief is glued in place by the emotions present when the belief was adopted -- the sadness, fear or anger surrounding some pivotal event. Emotional release is an integral part of learning to manifest. The student should expect to consistently devote 30-60 minutes a day to achieve the best results. Kriya Yoga has long promised enlightenment in this lifetime to those who would be diligent in the practice. |
